Principal of function & Control
Types of the point
The sheet metals pressed between the punch and the die get deform forcing the material to extend laterally up till they create a button. The "point" can be of the trapezoidal type or of the round type which are realized, respectively, with a trapezoidal punch and die or round punch and die.
Clinching points have a high repeatability. Their quality can be easily controlled thorugh elementary measurement operations.
- Round point

- the round point permits to realize a herme tic junction, with a resistance to uniform strain in every di rection and with an excellent appearance.
- For the round point the control of the diameter of the lengthen is realized with a callipers. The value obtained has to be compared with the preconceived value reported in the instructions for use of the machine depending on the diameter of the punch and on the thickness of sheet metal.
- Trapezoidal point

- the trapezoidal point allows the union of the sheet metals even with a low ductility, moreover can be applied to the union of more than two layers of the metal plates.
- For the trapezoidal point it is important to control the diameter of the point that is realized in the inferior part of sheet metal. This value has to be compared with the predetermined values included in the Instructions for Use of the machine depending on the width of the punch and on the thickness of sheet metal.

The Pirana is an extremely light clamp able to join metal sheets up to 2.0㎜ of total thickness. Its lightness and compactness make it a versatile and handy machine able to adapt to a wide range ofsituations, also thanks to possibility to have alignment of the head in three different settings relative to the axis of the handle: straight, staggered and at 90°. Its field of application, extremely various, extends, for example, from the production of metal furniture to the refrigeration sector and to the assembly of the air pocket filters. Pirana can be supplied with balancer and is able to perform both trapezoidal and round clinching points.

MANGUST
The Mangusta was the first machine provided with built-in air pressure multiplier that has been realized. Its compactness and absence of external booster makes it extremely versatile and easy to handle, thanks to the reduced weight. Its main field ofapplication is union ofthin metal sheets in a wide variety ofindustrial applications such as, for example, the production of structures and machines for the refrigeration, the production of household appliances air ducts and the assembly of the air pocket filters. The Mangusta can be supplied in three different geometric settings depending on alignment of the head relative to the axis of the handle: with straight head, staggered head and with head at 90°. On request it can be equipped with a balancer. The Mangusta is able to perform both trapezoidal and round clinching points.

The Python is a high power and low weight clamp. Thanks to its thrust of 35 kN allow the union up to 3,6 mm total sheet metal thickness. These features, combined with the design of the head, with hydraulic cylinder positioned outward the clinching axis (behind the head) and the elevated height of the throat, make it a versatile machine capable ofperforming high resistance clinching points in a large number ofsituations. The Python is available in two geometric settings with straight handle and at 90° moreover can be provided with tool kits for round clinching points and trapezoidal with dies of different height and dimensions that allow it to realize the best clinching point for each thickness of sheet metal.

The Python, that is characterized by being a machine extremely reliable and powerful, can be equiped with different Tool Kits that allow to realize the clinching point more suitable for every need. The Python LA is a machine able to perform the clinching points in areas otherwise in accessible for other types of the clamps. Thanks to its system of mechanical opening of the head, the Python LA is capable of passing obstacles such as for example folded edge and perform a clinching point beyond them. The Python LA is able to work with a thrust up to 35 kN which makes it a very powerful machine as well as versatile. The Python LA BE is provided with built-in air pressure multiplier versatile and easy to handle. CONDOR 2A

The Condor 2A is an evolution of our previous stitch folding clamp Condor. It is a machine that acts through perforation: cuts the sheet metal on three sides thereby creating a strip which is folded on the below metal plate. Compared to the previous version, the Condor 2A has been designed with a special shape that allows it to be easily used in production of the air filters for the air handlers, indeed the staggered head relative to the body of the clamp consents it to enter between the pockets of the filter, moreover the radius of the connection on the front edge permits easy insertion into the structures to assembly. The Condor 2A still keeps the same features of the previous version resulting in a light, handy, silent and extremely easy to use machine. It is therefore a good alternative to spot welding and riveting and is particularly recommended for the union of extremely thin sheet metals. The application sectors of the Condor 2A are productions of the metal plates in field of: air filters, refrigeration, household appliances and thanks to its versatility can be used in all the cases where there is a need to join thin metal sheets.

Condor 2A Settings

MOUSE ALS
The machine is supplied with clamp, high pressure hydraulic hose, multiplier of air pressure Booster

The MOUSE ALS system is composed by a metallic C frame with a hydraulic piston and a low pressure safe approach system. The operator will work with a double pedal in order to activate the low pressure approach for first and then to execute the clinching using a round or trapezoidal point. The machine is supplied including a weight support, a pressure multiplier and a pedal gauge. According to the customer’s need, the C-frame structure can be supplied with different depth of the throat.

The machine is supplied with, clamp, high pressure hydraulic hose, multiplier of air pressure – Booster
The CB500 is a static machine with a wide opening of the throat meaning the height and depth able to perform the clinching points on the pieces of large dimensions. It is equipped with multiplier of the air pressure and therefore is of pneumatic supply. The opening of the clamp and working cycle are controlled by a pneumatic pedal. The CB500 is able to perform both round and trapezoidal clinching points with a thrust of 45 kN at pressure of 6 bars.
